On Sunday the 18th of January, we completed our social work – we had a great time to do these activities, and everyone joined in doing this work which made it fun and the weather is not really hot. The village leader came to join our teams too.
We met everyone at 7:00 o’clock and made our way together to the road we wanted to fix. We got there at 8:00 o’clock and split into teams, some people went to chop the soil, some people carried the soil back to the hole and everyone else refilled the hole.
We had a break for lunch and cooked for all our students. It was very delicious for teams. They enjoyed it very much.
At 1:00 pm we started to do more fixing where possible. We had more help from the HVC teams who wanted to volunteer and we did more fixing more quickly.
UPDATE: On Sunday the 23rd of February, all our students finsihed the social work that we didn’t finish last month. The project worked very well. We have now finished fixing the road.
The village leader was pleased for our team that worked very hard to develop the road. In the morning: we arranged to meet with each other early at Green School. We reached the location at 7:30am and started. We arranged some people to dig the soil and take it to fill the holes. We worked until 9:00am and then some students went to the market to buy some fish and vegetables and cooked for ourself. At nearly 11:00am the team rested for lunch. At 1:00 pm we started doing our work again and we completed our project at 3:00 pm.
