OUR STUDENTS

By giving people a hand up rather than a hand out, we sponsor bright students from poor rural families, to study at the best high-school and university in Siem Reap, and empower them to become Cambodia’s future leaders. Collectively they volunteer for hours each day in addition to their studies. Many volunteer in the NGO’s unique social enterprise Projects.

 

Being sponsored by CRST also means being part of the NGO family, a support system and hands-on learning experience in itself.

OUR Alumni

The Cambodia Rural Students Trust (CRST) alumni community represents a new generation of educated, empowered, and compassionate leaders who are transforming their families, communities, and country.

CRST alumni are living proof that education breaks the cycle of poverty. Many continue to give back by mentoring younger generations of CRST students, sponsoring their siblings or other students, and contributing to community development through our social enterprise projects. They truly embody our philosophy of “a hand-up, not a hand-out.”

After graduation, our students go on to break their families’ poverty cycles and build meaningful careers across a wide range of sectors - including business, government, NGOs, education, and hospitality, CRST alumni are creating powerful, lasting change.

 

Together, they form a growing network of changemakers - proof that one opportunity can change a life, and one life can change many.
