Cambodia Rural Students Trust

Breaking the poverty cycle through education

EMPOWER

INSPIRE

By giving people a hand up rather than a hand out, we sponsor bright students from poor rural families, to study at the best high school and university in Siem Reap. Our mentorship, life-skills and business-skills experiences, form the foundation of an empowered life and social contribution.

CRST is managed on the ground entirely by our students, who receive daily mentoring on managing an organisation. They are also mentored as they manage several projects and enterprises – all designed to give them hands-on business, leadership and management skills

IN 2026 WE WILL BE:

Sponsoring 119 inspiring CRST students in High School & University

Educating and distributing 6,000 Project G Days for Girls menstrual Kits

Building 5 new homes for rural families

Plant 5,500 trees to aid our planet in combating the effects of global warming

Distributing 4,000 solar study lights to students living in energy poverty

Supporting 25 rural families with monthly food & essential living supplies

Repairing 500 bicycles & donating 250 bicycles to rural students

Install WASH Infrastructure in 20 rural schools

Each year we reach over 20,000 rural primary and secondary students through our community activities, empowering and inspiring rural students to continue going to school and achieve their dreams.

What makes us unique?

CRST is managed on the ground in Cambodia by our senior students, who are mentored in managing the organisation and Social Enterprise Projects by a group of Australian business volunteers.

100% of donations are used for education, mentoring and community projects. All overhead costs are covered by a corporate sponsor
